Cielito Cafe was one of the most home-y places I have ever visited (literally, it's in a house)! From the hostess to the waitress, everyone was beyond nice and helpful. They were so busy and yet so attentive. The food was delicious. Enjoyed my cafe de coco, not too overwhelming with the coconut flavor but wish I would have gotten it iced. With the chilaquiles, I'm glad I got to choose red and green where versus just one. It added a good balance between mild and spicy. Their chips and salsa app comes with 4 sauces which was great flavor for each of them!

We visited this little restaurant but cozy and amazing place. The waiting time: We were so lucky less than 5 minutes. Food Quality: I will recommend coco coffee if you love coffee. The conchas (the sweet bread) my favorite! The food was delicious. I had the Chilaquiles rojos y verdes little spicy for my taste and the French Toast very good too. Overall, we had a great experience the service was excellent. We definitely recommend.

The food was amazing, and tasted very authentic. Had some of the best service I've ever experienced.

I came to Cielito Cafe for a birthday brunch! The food and service was a solid 10/10! The wait was not too long, about 15/20 mins... but in this Texas summer heat it felt like an eternity! Lol! The ambience is nice, it is a small place but very cozy and chic.

I've been wanting to try this place for so long and so happy I finally did it! There is usually a big wait but we came around 10 am and the wait was pretty short. It looked like people started waiting a while around 11:30 ish/12. The ambiance is cozy - whether outside or inside. There were some flies outside but they accommodated us with fans which really helped them to stay away. The service was overall a bit slower - so come here if you are not in a rush/can savor and take your time with your meal! Although a bit slower, the workers are all very sweet and nice! The food was great as well! I got sopes with a side of potatoes and really enjoyed both red and green sauces to go with it. The red sauce has a good kick! The cajeta toast was also so delicious. The condensed milk and cajeta/caramel on top made the twist on a regular French toast so amazing! Absolutely will be back.

I chose this place for brunch while visiting my beautiful home city m, H Town! I arrived before my friend and out us on the waitlist. They operate off writing your name on paper and they call your name outside so you may be forced to stand in the elements for your table. We went on a Sunday and the parking lot next door may belong to a business across the street other days of the week? Even then, the lot was full no matter what so luckily I got a space to sit in the car and check our name on the list but parking can be difficult, be prepared! Once we got our table, the inside is very intimate, I found it charming. From our table, I could see the kitchen. Our server was impatient and seemed annoyed we didn't decide fast enough, never refilled our waters, and forgot parts of our meal. That was single handedly the element that tainted some of our experience. I overall enjoyed my food, I was torn between something sweet or savory. I got the Cajeta toast and felt like the serving was perfect. Not too much, not too little and the toast was so good. I would come back again but the waitlist situation could be revised in light that many restaurant do electronic notifications. If one plans to bring someone elderly or disabled, be prepared. Especially sice Houston is HOUSTON. I felt overwhelmed the amount of people fanning themselves under the tree and this one elderly woman in a wheelchair with her family.

I am completely impressed with this place, from the moment you walk in they make you feel welcome with a very energetic greeting. You can tell they really try their best to make their guest feel welcomed. The server was super friendly and did not rush me at all when I asked for extra time to look at the menu as I was indecisive about what I wanted. He took my order with a smile when I finally decided what I wanted. I have to say, the food is very very fresh and it tastes delicious. In a city with nothing but Tex Mex it is nice to find a spot like this one, where you can find Mex with minimal Tex. The chilaquiles were super tasty, the sauce had a kick to it but was super good as well. You can also substitute the egg for egg whites (for an upcharge) which I believe is a very cool option to offer. I will definitely go back and visit them again, the only thing I have to warn prospective guests about is the parking situation. Be ready to look for parking, as the parking lot next to it belongs to another establishment.
